What should I wear?

The ground on the demo field may be rocky and uneven in places so please wear sturdy footwear. Weather in Sweden can be unpredictable so please also bring a waterproof jacket as well as warm clothes. You will be outside for most of the day.
 

Will there be WiFi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available at Customer Center and throughout the demo field. You can connect to the Volvo Guest network: GuestWNET
 

Do I need to wear safety shoes? And Hi-vis jacket?

You don’t need to wear safety shoes, but sturdy boots or shoes are recommended when you are out on the demo field, especially if you plan to test drive machines. Hi-vis jacket or west is however required. If you don't want to your own jacket, hi-vs wests are provided at Customer Center.

Health & Safety

Safety is a core value of Volvo. We kindly ask you to respect all rules and regulations established to ensure yours and others’ safety.

In case of emergency, follow the instructions from the Volvo employee accompanying you!
The emergency meeting point is by the flagpoles outside of the reception area.

•Always wear a safety vest outdoors at demo field area

•Always use the pedestrian walkways (fenced areas).

•Respect barriers and do not climb over or sit on the fences.

•Spectators are prohibited in the working area of the machine.

•Smoking indoors is not allowed at any Volvo site, this includes e-cigarettes. At Customer Center: Please use designated smoking areas nearby the ashtrays outdoors. At the Volvo factories: Please follow the local instructions. 

•First aid kits are available in main Reception and in all cabins.

•Defibrillators are available in the main Reception.

Safety rules for test driving

•Test driving is only allowed with permission from the instructor and only in assigned areas.

•Alco test is mandatory and 0.0 permille is the limit.

•Face the machine as you step in or out. Maintain three-point contact with the ladder and railing. Use the handrails. Never jump from the machine.

•Do not climb on the machines, risk of slipping down.

•Seatbelts must always be used during test operating.

•Doors and windows must be closed while operating.

•Operate with the attachment in low position to achieve good visibility and stability during transportation.

•In the unlikely event a machine overturns, stay in the seat and hold on to the steering wheel.

•After test operating, drive to the assigned parking spot, put the gears in neutral, apply the parking brake and lower the attachment to the ground.

•Drive slowly, be careful and have fun – the whole time
